Olufaom Central Communities Elect New Executive, Chairman Calls for Unity and Development

A new set of executive officers has been elected to steer the affairs of the Olufaom Central Communities for the next three years following a keenly contested but peaceful election. The election involved delegates from the eleven communities that make up the area: Abusoro, Aladanla, Oluwole, Ifeaowapo, Temidire, Olowolagba, Ifelodun, Isokan, Ifelodun Oore, Surulere, Oloruntedo and Opeyemi. Each community was represented by three delegates. At the end of the exercise, Mr. Ilemobayo Oladipupo of Ifelodun emerged as Chairman after defeating Mr. Fakorede of Abusoro by 17 votes to 15. Other officers elected include Mr. Oluyemi Tope of Olowolagba as Vice Chairman, Mr. Ayobami Timothy of Oluwole as Secretary, Mrs. Adeyeye Foluke of Surulere as Treasurer, and Mr. Longe Olabisi of Aladanla as Financial Secretary. In his acceptance speech, the newly elected Chairman, Mr. Ilemobayo Oladipupo, appealed to residents of all the communities to embrace unity and work together for the growth and development of the area. He described the election as a new chapter for the Olufaom Central Communities, expressing confidence that the new executive would ensure equitable and accelerated development across all the constituent communities. According to him, the administration will focus on promoting inclusiveness, strengthening community cooperation, and aligning its programmes with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Ondo State Government to attract meaningful development to the area. Mr. Oladipupo also appreciated delegates and stakeholders for conducting themselves peacefully throughout the electoral process, pledging to provide purposeful, transparent and people-oriented leadership during his tenure.
