Idonije Foundation Takes Campaign to Ilejemeje

 Flt. lieutenant Ohai  Prosper Idonije foundation has taken peace campaign to Iye Ekiti in Ilejemeje local government area of Ekiti state as part of sensitisation programme for enlightenment on the people ahead of the 20th June governorship election in the state.

Leading the team to the local government headquarter town,  The state Coordinator Mr. Oluwaseun  Gbadamosi said the sensitisation programme was part of the collaborative efforts with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to sensitise the people at the grassroot on the need to ensure a peaceful conduct of election in the various units, wards and across the local government and the state as a whole.

Speaking at the palace of Oniye Ekiti, The Coordinator solicits the collaboration of the traditional ruler at ensuring that the peace messages was passed through his subjects down to the people in the communities.

He  appreciate the efforts of the traditional rulers as the custodian of culture and values in the society ,that the people hold in high esteem.

Responding, Oba Jonathan Agboola Adeleye-Oni,Oniye of iye-Ekiti appreciate the efforts of the foundation at bringing messages of peace to his palace and community.

Saying he was highly pleased and promises at ensuring that the message will get to the appropriate quarters.

While he charges that the citizenry should ensure peace at all times, noting that as traditional fathers, their door is opened to all political parties and pleading with all the players to guide against any act of violence or crisis before, during and after the polls.

The monarch notes. That the political players should always remember that they are one same family irrespective of political parties,hence they must ensure they preach peace at all times.
