Christ’s School Ado-Ekiti 1975/80 Set Marks 45th Reunion in Grand Style

The 1975/80 set of Christ’s School, Ado-Ekiti, has celebrated its 45th reunion with pomp, pageantry, and excitement, bringing together old classmates from across Nigeria and the diaspora for a week-long series of activities.

The reunion, which featured a rich lineup of events, included an Evening of Praise and Worship, distribution of souvenirs to students, a medical outreach, a road walk, a gala night, a dinner, and a thanksgiving service.

Members described the celebration as heartwarming and nostalgic, providing a rare opportunity to reconnect, reminisce, and share fond memories of their days on the famous Agidimo Hill.

Speaking virtually, the President of the set, Chief (Mrs.) Wuraola Caroline Adepoju, expressed gratitude to God for the grace to reunite after more than four decades. The former Comptroller General of Immigration commended members both at home and abroad for their dedication, love, and unity of purpose in ensuring the success of the event.

The highlight of the reunion was a grand dinner hosted by the former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, and his wife, Erelu Bisi Fayemi. The evening featured the presentation of awards to past presidents of the set in recognition of their outstanding contributions, as well as the launch of a commemorative book, “Echoes of Our Youth.”

Guests were treated to sumptuous dishes, assorted drinks, and thoughtful gifts courtesy of the ever-gracious Erelu Fayemi.

As the celebration came to a close, members expressed deep nostalgia and joy, describing the event as a memorable milestone and looking forward to future reunions with renewed enthusiasm.
