Amotekun Corps Foils Five Kidnapping Cases in Ondo




The Ondo State Commander of Western Security Network, code named Amotekun Akogun Adetunji Adeleye has re-emphasized the stand of the government's against kidnapping for ransom, urging farmers to return to their farms and assuring them of their safety at all times.

Adeleye speaking in Akure notes the corps commitment at maintaining peace and security of the people and their properties within the length and breadth of the stat is paramount.

While informing that the corps has successfully foiled five kidnapping cases in the state within the last two weeks without paying any ransom, as the tactical team of the corps always moved swiftly  to any noticed or informed points of crimes.

The Amotekun corps Boss reiterates that the government of Ondo State is saying is that "We are saying no to kidnap for ransom in Ondo State. Headers are free to do their business, farmers are free to cultivate. Farmers will not infringe on the rights of the headers, while headers have no right to destroy people's farm."

Adding that"So on farmers and headers clashes, even though it has reduced, we are saying the government does not want it to happen to prevent scarcity of food in the next season. We want farmers to go back to their farms. 

Adeleye notes that the Amotekun Rangers are in the forest reserves area of the state,and appreciates the farmers and members of the public, the Hunters Association, and the Vigilante Groups for giving timely information to work with
