ONDO VOWS TO PAY NEW MINIMUM WAGE

The Ondo state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN. has assured  workers of the state, readiness of his administration at paying the newly approved minimum wage according to the Law.

Giving the assurance in his speech to mark 2019 Workers’ day at Archade ground in Akure , Akeredolu said he will abide to pay the approved minimum wage to the workers.

The governor who noted that workers  and the people welfare is Paramount to his administration, and will continue to do what can make the workers happy and productive

The governor said his administration will continue to keep its promise to the workers and people of the state by making their welfare directive principles of state policy.

Akeredolu who saluted the workers for their cooperation since the inception of his administration.

He also appreciated the union for the understanding displayed at difficult moment while calling on the workers to rededicate themselves to the service of their fatherland.

In his speech, Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress ,NLC in the state , Comrade Oluwole Sunday Adeleye appreciate the govenmegov for making workers welfare priority, call on the governor to clear the arrears owing the workers and pensioners in the state and also the implementation of the new minimum wage.

Highlight of the occasion is the March past by the various union in the state.
